Joining Forces With Matthew McConaughey's just keep livin' Foundation
The Healthy Room Project recently partnered with Matthew and Camila McConaughey's just keep livin' Foundation (JKL) and the Arlington, Texas PD to support the Jones Family in an all-hands-on-deck home renovation. The Director of Program Strategy and Community Impact from JKL, Leon Clayborne, led the team from the South, while THRP's Janet Crown and Mark Kirunchyk led the team from the West. This isn't the first time THRP and JKL have collaborated and it's definitely not the last.
THRP Lands in Boston
The Healthy Room Projects breaks ground on the East Coast and we couldn't be more excited. Our Impact
Child Well-Being
A childs bedroom is not just for sleeping. It's a space for growth and dreaming. Clean rooms lower stress, boosting focus and creativity. They also improve health by cutting dust and allergens. Orderly spaces encourage calm, sleep aid, and play. Bright decor sparks imagination and happiness. The room provides comfort, safety, and gorwth opportunities.
Police-Community Relations
The Healthy Room Project rejuvenates the social contract between police officers and the communities they serve. Officers establish trust and nurture relationships with residents through this unique participation opportunity. In addition, boosting officers overall health and well-being through through non-enforcement-related activities. As a result, in this one-day transformation residents experience mutual respect, allowing them to see the police as allies and partners.
Community
Healthy children in body and mind benefit the entire community, including reducing the stress on their family. Children engage in uplifting pusuits, fostering secure and welcoming community environments. As they mature, these children become happy healthy adult citizens. They help the community grow, creating a better place for all.
